So I am a avid watcher of the Cartoon Network's "Steven Universe". The characters are enjoyable, the storyline is captivating, and the scenery is beautiful. I have also been following some online theories about the show. especially from this guy AJ Universe . One theory I have is from the ending theme song. for those of you who don't know this song go here;

      I Believe it is Everyone Singing to Steven. 

    There are a lot of theories as to who is sing to who. and he is mine One thing I have to supot this theory is that the voice of the singer, by Rebecca Sugar, does not belong to any of the known (Peridot) and Humans. Heck! he befriended a corrupted gem, and the cluster! I will go ahead and include rose in this too. Steven has compaction and love for everyone he meets. it is something to be admired from Him. But lets look into the Lyrics itself and see how my theory might work.

"If I could begin to be,
Half of what you think of me,
I could do about anything,
I could even learn how to love"

    I think this one is pretty self explanatory. Steven Looks up to the gems, he holds them in high respects. from what I see from the show, most of the gems have their own demons that make them feel lesser of a person. (less of a gem, WHATEVER) So in each of their minds, I'd imagine they wish to aspire to be what Steven thinks of them. for most of the humans, I kind think it's more of a situation of "Hey his person thinks highly of me, I don't want to let him down" Steven has one characteristic that truly makes him different from other gems. Steven has Empathy. This seems to be something that crosses over into his gems side. In the episode Monster Buddies Steven accidentally unleashes the   Centipeetle's. Instead of attacking Steven, or running away, the Centipeetle stay's and assess Steven. the Centipeetle then trusts Steven.

When I see the way you act,
Wondering when I'm coming back,
I could do about anything,
I could even learn how to love like you."

    Steven acts almost like a puppy whenever any of the gems leave for any period of time, he even gets down when Connie has to go home. But more specifically about the gems. Steven gets a bit down whenever garnet pearl and/or amethyst go of on a mission without him. In the episode, Steven the Sword Fighter we see how Steven behaving moody, anxious, and lonely during the time pearl gets "poofed". When Pearl regenerated Steve was overjoyed. Another less convincing instance is the few times we se garnet warp back from a mission. Steven becomes very exited. But hat is to be expected from a child watching what could be considered a family member return. Here's a bit of a stretch. in the episode Rose's Scabbard during Pearl's freak out, Steven chased after her, desperately wanting for pearl to come back. He even put his own life in danger just to reach her.

I always thought, I might be bad,
Now I'm sure that it's true,
'cause I think you're so good,
And I'm nothing like you.

    This is where things get murky. I don't think these lyrics really fit in with the rest of the song. supposedly it a different song, I doubt that, but it is at some point sung during the ending credits.  As I've said before, each of the gems have their own eternal demons that they are struggling with. Pearl lost the love of her life, and she does not have a purpose of her own. Amethyst struggles with where she came from and, also seems to have a lack of purpose issue. Garnet has chosen a path that makes her an outcast to the Homeworld. Each of the crystal gems have the potential to cause a lot of damage. They do not have the empathy that Steven has, and do not have a lot of compassion for the earth. What they do have is the remembrance of Rose and her love for the planet. Or at least it started that way. When Rose leaves to create Steven, the crystal gems carry on for the sake of Rose's memory. So no one, not even Garnet are here, solely because of their own choice. They go around keeping the corrupted gems and the gem temple in check.  What's keeping them from drifting away from this objective is Steven. As much as Steven looks up to the gems, they look to him for the motivation to carry on with their duties.

I know there are unaired lyrics on the wiki Ending Theme I'm going to hold off explaining those until the are aired.
